Patricia was able to ride a bike with Outdoors for All when she visited our Adaptive Cycling Center in Magnuson Park last summer. She had such a blast, her mom, Candice, brought her every weekend.

Patricia’s family recently purchased a similar model she learned to ride on through Outdoors for All. Now, Patricia is able to ride her bike whenever she wants and she is ready for Bike Everywhere Month in May!

“Cycling has been so good for her both physically and emotionally. She has so much more confidence in what her body can do.

“Today was the first day of ride your bike to school. [Patricia] was thrilled and her classmates went nuts! It was epic. Thanks again.”

– Candice Styer, Patricia’s Mother

Patricia is also able to ride her new bike in her school’s Let’s Go unit. Let’s Go is provided through a combined effort with Seattle Public Schools, Cascade Bicycle Club and Outdoors for All to teach children grades 3rd – 5th how to ride a bike and use safe bike practices when riding to and from school. Outdoors for All provides adaptive bikes for Let’s Go making it possible for students of all abilities to participate.
