WORKPLACE GIVING

Does your company participate in Workplace Giving or the United Way or Combined Federal Workplace Giving campaign?  This upcoming year Outdoors for All will need the help of more than 800 volunteers for our programs and over $60,000 in financial aid in order to meet the growing needs and demands of individuals with disabilities. More than 60% of those resources are needed by early December to enable all of our winter participants who have the desire and motivation—but not the resources—to be active in the outdoors.

Outdoors for All has a successful and easy-to-use workplace giving model—the details of which are outlined below. If your company is looking for an organization to donate to through workplace giving this year, we are happy to visit your location for an informational session. Below are four simple ways you can help enrich the lives of children and adults with disabilities:

WORKPLACE GIVING & MATCHING GIFTS

Many employers will also match your donation of dollars or volunteer hours – helping to make your gift go further by doubling your contribution. CLICK HERE to find out if your company participates in a matching gift program.

WORKPLACE INFORMATION SESSIONS

Share information about Outdoors for All at upcoming events and inspire others. Check with your Human Resources department or person in charge of the United Way or Combined Federal Campaign for your office and ask if there are opportunities to have speakers or information tables at upcoming meetings or work place giving fairs. If yes, Outdoors for All will work with you to arrange any of the following:

  • Information packets to be sent to you.
  • Sending a speaker to a meeting.
  • Share personal experience.

PROMOTING OUTDOORS FOR ALL

Put up a poster or forward an Outdoors for All Enewsletter to co-workers, friends or family who may be searching for more information on what community organization they’ll support through their work place giving in the upcoming year. Want to get started now? Here’s information you can download instantly from our website, or you can send an e-mail requesting any of the materials available below to be printed and mailed to you. Please include the quantity of each item and the complete address to to the contact below.  You can also request or print materials such as volunteer guides, participant guides, general information panel and more.

DESIGNATING YOUR GIFT

Please consider encouraging others to join you in directing their work place giving dollars, either all or a portion, to Outdoors for All. You do not need to live in Washington to designate Outdoors for All for your work place giving or matching dollars. In fact, people nationwide support our mission because they have a connection to Outdoors for All through a friend or family member and they feel confident that their dollars are making a direct impact on someone or something they care about. In order to designate your gift:

  • Request a designation form and write “Outdoors for All, Seattle WA” in the appropriate space. Your local representative can tell you specifically how to make this designation (each local United Way differs). TAX ID: 91-1085999
  • For those participating in the Combined Federal Campaign you’ll need to indicate code #92123
  • For those participating in the Combined Fund Drive, our code is # 0320849
  • For those who want to process a Corporate Matching Gift through LICA (Local Independent Charities of America), click here.

Together, we will share highlights of Outdoors for All programs and activities and how we are making a difference in lives of individuals with disability, their families, volunteers and the community. Contact us to schedule a speaker from our organization.
