Outdoors for All programs would not be possible without the support of our amazing volunteers! With over 700 volunteers each year, it’s hard to pick out just one, but here is our new Volunteer Spotlight!

“Doug is my Friday night equipment manager and has been doing so for the past 5 years. He is typically one of the first people there and goes right back and starts pulling equipment before the participants arrive for the evening. Once gear is pulled he is always keeping himself busy by tuning and/or waxing skis, fixing the many odds and ends in the Outdoors for All office, chatting with participants who are taking a break, or even getting the equipment ready for the next night. He keeps me afloat with knowing the ins and outs of the program. Doug and his wife, Jen, stay up at the Summit on the weekends so Doug can occasionally assist on programs throughout the weekend and also so they can ski Alpental. Besides Friday night and occasionally helping out on Saturday mornings, Doug also volunteers as Ski Hawks race crew on Wednesday Nights (he has been doing so for the past 6 years). If it wasn’t for Doug [and Jen] for showing me the ropes on Friday night, I would be lost.”
