We’ve had such a milestone year at all three of our Adaptive Cycling Centers this season! So far, we’ve had an incredible 2,478 rides, and counting! Reaching more than 1,000 rides has been a goal we’ve been working toward for a long time, and we’re so excited to see it become a reality! There’s still time to get out and enjoy a ride before the season wraps up!

Volunteers
Volunteer Awards:
We want to give a special shout-out to this year’s award recipients, whose dedication, passion, and commitment continue to make Outdoors for All such a special community.
Trailblazer Award: Dave Egan
For leading with vision and initiative, strengthening our programs, and helping shape the future of Outdoors for All. Dave has been heavily involved in our rock climbing programs since 2022 and has been an incredible partner in helping grow climbing into a year-round program. As a lead rock climbing volunteer with Outdoors for All, Dave has helped us reach more people through climbing by advocating for outreach to Seattle Children’s, new events with Up Ending Parkinson’s, and technical education opportunities for some of our advanced climbers. Dave is also a guide with Edgeworks and works with Paradox Sports, bringing a wealth of climbing knowledge and experience to our programs. We’re so grateful for all the ways Dave continues to help our climbing community grow!
Spirit of Community Award: Caitlin Wassell
For consistently bringing warmth, inclusivity, and a deep sense of community to every outing and interaction. Cate always has a smile on her face, and the sweetness she brings to programming is so inviting. She has a special ability to make everyone feel included, welcomed, and seen. Cate joined Outdoors for All in January 2026, starting with Nordic skiing before jumping into kayaking at Magnuson Park during July and August. In her first year with us, she has already made a wonderful impact on our community!
Service in Action Award: Derek Nguyen
For going above and beyond to support participants, remove barriers, encourage growth, and empower people to recreate where and when they want. Derek is new to Outdoors for All and jumped right in during his very first season, signing up for every single paddle sports program this summer! He supported kayaking at Lake Sammamish and Magnuson Park in July and August, as well as paddleboarding at Magnuson Park in July. Derek has been involved in every paddling program this summer and continues to impress us with the incredible support he provides to participants. He takes the time to learn each person’s strengths, encourage them to grow, and help them get the most out of their experience. Derek has been a huge part of the success of our paddling programs this summer, and we’re thrilled to have him on the team!
