We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our new Executive Director, Clark Halvorson! Clark joins the Outdoors for All team with 30 years of experience leading government, tribal and non-profit organizations. Most recently as President and CEO for the United Way of Anchorage, Clark worked to unite the community and take action to remove barriers to create opportunity and solve some of Anchorage’s toughest challenges. His focus was on whole system approaches designed to overcome the many social, health, and built environment challenges that negatively impact so many in our communities.

“With my passion for social justice and equality, I’ve spent most of my career breaking down barriers and creating a more inclusive community in Washington state and Alaska,” said Halvorson. “I’ve long been a fan of Outdoors for All, which not only provides critical resources for people with disabilities, but also challenges societal perceptions of disability and promotes positive change. I’m looking forward to being part of such a great team at such a great time for the organization.”

Clark is passionate about exploring the great outdoors and finds being outside allows him to reconnect with friends, family, and nature. The outdoors also provides him with a break from his normal routine and many demands of everyday life. He is grateful to join a team that makes enjoying the outdoors possible for everyone and is looking forward to focusing his time and energy on this important work.

We look forward to this next chapter and working with Clark to continue championing our mission. Together we plan to enrich the lives of thousands of children and adults with disabilities through outdoor recreation and are excited to see what is next for our growing organization!
