Thank you to everyone that participated in our 2023 Gala Auction. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for your generosity. Saturday night was truly remarkable and we could not have done it without the help from all of you! Together, we raised over $483,000 and counting!
In addition to the incredible amount of money raised for our mission, one of the most special moments of the night was sharing the story of longtime volunteer, Jeff Stewart, and his family. Jeff’s life took an unexpected turn in 2020, when he was diagnosed with ALS. Jeff’s role in the organization evolved when he found himself facing challenges that prevented him from being able to recreate in the outdoors as he once did. Thank you to the entire Stewart family for sharing your story with us. Jeff made such an impression on the Outdoors for All community and his positivity will live on through the organization.
The evening also included a special recognition for retired Outdoors for All Executive Director, Ed Bronsdon. During Ed’s 28 year tenure with the organization, Outdoors for All grew to be a national leader of adaptive recreation, and one of the largest providers of adaptive programming in the Pacific Northwest. It is impossible not to be inspired by the impact Ed made on our organization, our community, and the countless lives he touched along the way. In addition to being the Gala Honoree, Ed was also presented with the “Ed Bronsdon Achievement in Service Award” to carry on the legacy he is leaving behind. Thank you, Ed, for your tireless dedication and service to our mission.
Congratulations to Beth Crispin who was named 2023 Volunteer of the Year. Beth has dedicated her time to several programs including Learn to Ride, Gravel Biking, Kayaking, and Nordic Skiing. Beth’s compassion and dedication to program delivery has made a positive impact on staff, participants, and fellow volunteers. Thank you, Beth!
The amount of support we saw pouring in from our community and supporters is overwhelming and we could not be more grateful. Thank you all and we hope to see you next year!
