As part of Outdoors for All’s continuing efforts to provide safe work and recreation environments during this evolving public healthcare crisis, effective October 1, 2021, Outdoors for All will require that all staff, volunteers and participants who are eligible to be vaccinated must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and complete a COVID-19 Vaccination Attestation form prior to participation in our program activities. All Outdoors for All employees are already fully vaccinated.
NOTE: A person is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the second dose in a two-dose series of COVID-19 vaccine authorized by the FDA (e.g., Pfizer-BIONTech or Moderna) or two weeks after receiving a single-dose of COVID-19 vaccine authorized by the FDA (e.g., Johnson & Johnson/Janssen).
Outdoors for All has a long history of ‘Safety first’ as one of our core values. As an adaptive sport and recreation nonprofit, we have cases where we may set a higher safety standard in our programs than what may be otherwise required in outdoor recreation activities. We know that this is the right thing to do now to keep our focus on safety first and always.
Some examples include: You can go downhill skiing or snowboarding on your own and not wear a helmet; but to be a participant, volunteer or staff member with Outdoors for All and go downhill skiing or snowboarding in our lessons, you must wear a helmet. Ten years ago you could be a downhill stand-up skier with us and not wear a helmet; but no more, and not for a number of years now. We also set other safety operational parameters for programs we offer like rock climbing, kayaking, cycling, mountain biking and anyone driving our company vehicles.
