Idaho is where the Scanlan family lives, but when they came to Seattle for three weeks to receive Occupational Therapy treatment for their son, Tom, they also visited Outdoors for All to rent a bike. Because of the contributions we receive from our supporters that helps underwrite the cost of our equipment, they were able to rent a $6,000 adaptive tandem bike for an affordable rate to explore the park, Burke-Gilman Trail and more.

Our Family of 6 was in Seattle for 3 weeks while our son Tom received some intense OT treatment at [Seattle] Children’s for his weaker Left arm. We all enjoy biking and were staying at the Ronald McDonald House, which has amazing access to the Burke-Gilman trail.

We needed an adaptive bike for our son and fortunately Outdoors for All had a bike we could rent, affordably.  We were able to cycle to nearby parks, our other son Aidan’s camp on campus at UW and just for fun and exercise.

Thanks to Outdoors for All, Tom was able to participate fully in our family’s  biking adventures in Seattle.

Appreciatively, the Scanlans
