Winter Volunteers 2025

What is the Volunteer Portal?

Last year we implemented a Volunteer Portal, which offers increased functionality to enhance the volunteer experience. Volunteers have the option of creating an account to sign-up, OR sign-up as a “guest user” without creating an account. If you have questions, email volunteer@outdoorsforall.org

I experienced an error when trying to sign up for a volunteer shift. What should I do?

We’re sorry this happened. Please let us know by emailing volunteer@outdoorsforall.org and we’ll work to solve the problem.

Do you offer transportation to volunteers?

Unfortunately, we do not offer transportation or coordinate carpools for volunteers.

Do you coordinate carpools for volunteers?

We do NOT coordinate carpools for volunteers

What if I can’t attend all required trainings?

You can indicate which days you will miss on your registration form. You must make-up all missed trainings during the season by attending in-season clinics, which take place Wednesday evenings at Summit West.

What if I miss a day of volunteering?

You must make up missed volunteer days by volunteering for a Group Program. Failure to do so may result in you being charged full price for a season’s pass if you purchased one through Outdoors for All, or turning off access to your season’s pass.

Can I complete a makeup day of volunteering at another series program?

No. You must complete a makeup day at a Group Program.

How can I get a discounted seasons pass to The Summit at Snoqualmie or Stevens Pass?

All full-time volunteers who commit to all 7 program days are eligible for a discounted seasons pass at the mountain they volunteer at. Instructions on how to purchase a discounted seasons pass will be sent to full-time volunteers. Full-time volunteers are not required to purchase a seasons pass. Those who do not will receive a daily lift ticket for the day they volunteer.

Summit at Snoqualmie: $159 plus tax

Stevens Pass: $249 plus tax (previous cost, may change this year)

How do I receive pro deals?

Full time and part-time volunteers who commit to this Winter season are eligible for prodeals through ExpertVoice.

Please follow these instructions.

Which trainings do I need to take?

Please review the required volunteer training dropdown menus below. There is a mix of required in-person and virtual trainings. You will sign-up for in-person training when signing up for a winter role. Virtual training links can be found at the dropdown menu below and will also be included in an automated confirmation email.

Are there other ways to get involved?

Absolutely! If winter sports aren’t your thing, but still want to volunteer this winter please let us know by emailing volunteer@outdoorsforall.org.

Outdoors for All does not tolerate abuse or neglect of any kind, between any association of staff, volunteers, participants, family members, or caregivers. In Washington State, abuse or neglect is defined as the physical, sexual, or emotional injury of child (or vulnerable adult) by any person under circumstances which cause harm to the individual’s health, welfare, or safety; or the negligent treatment or maltreatment of a child (or vulnerable adult) by a person responsible for or providing care to the child. If there is suspected abuse or neglect, or a claim of abuse or neglect, taking place within an Outdoors for All program, or with a participant who is involved in an Outdoors for All program, Outdoors for All has a legal and ethical responsibility to report such suspensions or claims to the appropriate authorities and/or support investigations into such claims of abuse or neglect. During an investigation, Outdoors for All may limit the participation of individuals involved in the claim. Outdoors for All does not have an obligation to share the details of an investigation with those involved in the claim, to protect privacy and prevent retaliation of those involved. Staff and volunteers complete yearly training on abuse and neglect prevention and reporting practices within Washington State.
