Tisha Achorn
Program Coordinator

Tisha grew up in New Hampshire.  A love for the outdoors was instilled in her at a young age. She grew up hiking, camping, canoeing, and skiing with her family.  Tisha attended school at the University of New Hampshire and there she realized how important outdoor recreation was to her life.  While at UNH, she decided to pursue a degree in Therapeutic Recreation as she wanted to help provide everyone with an opportunity to recreate in a way important to them.  Tisha’s first big experience with adaptive outdoor recreation was through an internship at the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center and became hooked.  Afterwards, she spent some time working in outdoor education and educating children with autism.  In 2015, she was able to get back into adaptive recreation as a program coordinator for New England Disabled Sports.  Tisha is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and holds certifications in adaptive ski and kayak instruction.

Tisha is very excited to be currently living in the Pacific North West and working for Outdoors for All.  She can’t wait to explore all that Seattle and the PNW has to offer.  On her to do list is backpacking, biking, kayaking, dancing, and ultimate frisbee.
