January 17, 2023

Dear Friends:

I wanted to reach out to share some important news with you: Effective June 2, 2023, I will be retiring as Executive Director with the Outdoors for All Foundation.

It is time for me to step aside as the leader for this extraordinary nonprofit where I have worked for the past 28 years and instead, move to the sidelines as a cheerleader for the organization. I have been in consultation with the Outdoors for All Board of Directors in arriving at this announcement – and I shared this news with my staff just before the new year.

I’ve learned so much throughout my career in working with and leading nonprofits. I feel so fortunate to have been able to do what I love, working with people that I love — and together, enrich the lives of so many people!

I look forward to the new chapter in life that I get to turn to now, which I expect may include some project-based consulting work for nonprofits, plus more volunteerism with some charities that I’m involved in locally, nationally and internationally.

Of course, there’s a lot to do over the next five months while I’m still at the helm! The Outdoors for All Foundation Board now will begin an executive search for its next Executive Director. I expect to be available to help on board that new executive, once they are hired.

Thankfully, as a nonprofit, Outdoors for All is stronger than ever — strategically, programmatically, and financially. I believe that our organization is poised to grow and flourish even more so in the future. Thank you for our support all along the way!

Sincerely,Ā
Ed BronsdonĀ
