Can you imagine being active all your life — and then one day, out of the blue, having an infection attack your spinal cord, paralyzing you? Can you imagine the struggles necessary to live and tackle even daily tasks?

Two years ago this happened to Chuck Bode. He and his wife Connie had been lifelong skiers prior to his paralysis. He’d been dreaming and hoping for the past two years that he could get back to skiing, somehow, someway, someday. Well, that someday was TODAY!

“Skiing again is what I’ve wanted to do and dreamed of since my paralysis. It was fabulous!” said Chuck.

Chuck and his wife Connie came all the way from Chehalis to meet up with Outdoors for All at  The Summit at Snoqualmie — what an EPIC and AWESOME experience it was to share the day with him and them both! And today, thanks to his determination and perseverance (and thanks to support from Connie — and of course volunteer instructors like Justin Vann), Chuck became a skier again using a dualski!

Well done, Chuck! Share the awesome? How about share the AWESOME!!!
