MISSY GRESEN

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Missy moved to Washington State in 2001 to serve a term with Intermountain AmeriCorps in North Central Washington where she tutored and mentored youth and adults. She became devoted to the concept of empowering others and found an equally big place in her heart for the state of Washington. Missy served two more service terms and then continued her work with AmeriCorps in the realm of recruiting, training and supervising AmeriCorps members. Before coming to Outdoors for All in June of 2007, Missy was working with Community Youth Services - Youth in Service AmeriCorps in Olympia. She loves that Outdoors for All combines two of her passions; helping others and outdoor recreation.

Missy is an avid outdoor enthusiast and couldn't pick a favorite activity if she tried. Since moving to Washington she has picked up rock climbing, kayaking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking and backpacking. When Missy is not off enjoying the outdoors you can probably find her enjoying the local music and art scene.

Missy graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in Mass Communications (Integrated Public Relations & Advertising; Photojournalism). She is also an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, Humane Society and Washington Trails Association.
