ANNUAL FUND
The Outdoors for All’s mission in action keeps growing -- and we need your help. In the past year we have seen increasing demand for the many year round therapeutic recreation programs that we offer to enrich the lives of more than 2,000 children and adults with disabilities.
We had a tremendous winter season of meaningful fun at the Summit at Snoqualmie, Crystal Mountain and Stevens Pass. Now, our spring activities like rock climbing and cycling are in action and we’re busily preparing for an extra busy summer season.
In particular, we have seen a 600% increase in requests for adaptive cycle rentals thanks to our new program office based from Seattle’s Manson Park -- and our day camp programs keep growing significantly, too. Will you consider making a donation so that more children and adults with disabilities can experience the joy of water skiing, cycling, rock climbing, day camps and being outdoors this summer?
Here is how you can help. Your generous contribution will help us make more dreams like these come true…
Cece Black goes cycling from Magnuson Park….
“Cece Black wanted to try out hand cycling…and our new Program office at Magnuson Park proved to be an excellent base camp from which to start. She needed a little assistance with getting on the cycle and some practice pedaling around the park, but after just a few hours she got confident enough to then move later that day to pedal along the Burke Gilman Trail. Cece’s smile made my day!”
Michael Davis gets his wish at camp…
Thanks to a successful experience at a donor supported Demo Day, participant Michael Davis registered for one of our inclusive recreation Summer Day Camps. Michael came to that day’s camp and was just bouncing with excitement: “I have SO been looking forward to this! I get to go canoeing! Yes! Yes! YES!!!” And today, several years later, Michael’s involved in our winter activities, too, along with our ever-growing summer program.
Day Camps keep growing…
Last year, a record of more than 160 children with disabilities were active in our day camps – and this year, registrations are coming in faster than ever; forcing us to place participants on waiting lists. We need your help to help make sure that we can offer enough camp sessions to meet the demand – and create even more smiles like the ones on the kids at right!
Your support makes a difference…
A key goal for the Outdoors for All Foundation is to lower tuition fees and at the same time, provide financial scholarships for those who need it. Your contribution will underwrite the costs of tuition for adaptive equipment rentals, day camps, Custom Events, Demo Days, excursions and individual activities.
Some people say you can’t buy smiles like these – but you can and you will. You will help participants like Cece, Michael and so many others get outside and be active – and you will create a whole lot of smiles!
So “Thank You!” Thank you for your consideration of a gift in support of our mission. I can assure you that every dollar that is invested in our mission is used wisely and efficiently.
Your personal contribution will be used effectively and is necessary in helping us yield powerful results. Won’t you please consider joining me in making a generous donation? Donations may be made on-line or by calling our office.
